Euro Trip 2019

So I’m on the move again and there are clamors in the family group chat that I continue writing on my travel blog. It may have something to do with me only sending 1 (one) message a day updating them on my whereabouts. Or maybe they are genuinely interested in me and how I’m doing. Who knows, family is weird.
Yes mom, I'm still alive.
Anyways, I graduated on Friday May 3 and hopped on a flight out of Boston the next Tuesday. My first stop was in Berlin with my good friend Luis, who is working there as part of his International Business Program. I crashed at his place for a total of nine days, adjusting to jet lag, catching up with him, and generally trying to soak up some German culture.
My long lost love- Luis

After Berlin, I bussed to Prague, a city I had perhaps 3 cohesive thoughts about prior to my arrival. My decision to visit was largely based on geography and time constraints, and Prague made the most sense before I headed to Southern Germany. In Prague I caught a wicked stomach bug, which I rode out my last two days there. I left Prague loaded up with Imodium, headed for Munich.
Still alive! But in Prague!

My luck kept getting worse, and I started feeling a cold come on during the 4 hour bus ride to Munich. I spent the first two days there forcing myself to leave the hostel for a few hours before returning for a power nap. I’m generally a friendly guy but it’s hard to make friends when you have the energy of a geriatric and are leaking out your nose. From Munich I took the bus to Nuremberg to meet up with my exchange partner from High School, Vincent, and his girlfriend, Jessi.
Miraculously thriving in Munich

The traditional, Catholic Bavaria celebrates the day of Christ’s Ascension. It means little to me, but it did give everyone a day off so we made the trek out to Gerabronn, a tiny little village halfway between Nuremberg and Stuttgart. Vincent’s family has a house there, so I spent a few days lounging with them in the countryside before heading back to the city for a day.
Stuck in a tank in Nuremberg, but I'm not worried.
As I write this, I’m on the bus to Munich for a connection to Innsbruck, Austria. I’ll spend the next week wandering around Austria before I fly to London for the UK portion of my journey. Stay tuned for more info on my travels so far.
